I'm a software developer. I've spent most of my career building and shipping web applications — the kind with real users, real data, and real deadlines.

Rails and PostgreSQL are where I'm quickest, but I've shipped production work in Python, PHP, JavaScript, and Swift, and found something to like in each of them. What a codebase is written in matters far less to me than how it reads a year later — so I reach for well-understood tools and try to leave things easier to change than I found them.

This site is where I keep my writing and a running list of things I've built. Some of the projects are polished; some are experiments I never finished. I think both are worth showing.
