A kanban board is a simple idea — columns, cards, drag things rightwards — and most tools bury it under onboarding, workspaces, and a seat-based plan. kanbans.free is the simple idea, one click away, with no signup in front of it.
Boards do what you'd want without asking: lists and cards you drag between columns, labels and colours, story points, due dates, and checklists inside cards. Swimlanes add an optional second axis, so you can cut the same board by team, priority, or epic instead of only by stage. Cards take comments, and you can invite people to work on a board with you.
There are 56 templates to start from — sprint planning and product roadmaps, but also job hunts, house moves, and weddings, because a board is just as good at those and nobody ships templates for them. If your work already lives in a spreadsheet, CSV import brings it in.
Free, and free of the usual friction
Using it costs nothing. An account is what makes a board persistent and unlocks swimlanes and collaborators, but the first board doesn't require one — you can try the thing before deciding it's worth an email address.
